We also have six lakes that hold these great fighting fish ranging from 2 to 5 lbs average with some being caught as large as 7 to 8 lbs.

These lakes are:

Clair lake, Trap lake, Travial lake, Gerard lake, Diana lake and Monic Lake.

We find that worm harnesses with an orange pebble with worm works well as well as small trout lures no more than two inches long.

The best time for these fish are approximately two to three weeks after ice is gone. Normally the speckles start on the third week in May till the end of June. Speckles can still be caught in July and first part of August but it is not as good as the start of the season.

Your days limit is 5 Speckles with 10 in total possession.
